  • Responsibilities

    • Responsible for designing and developing a product/product family.
    • Ensures production procedures efficiently utilize materials and personnel.
    • Tests finished product for quality purposes and recommends changes to product specifications as necessary.
      The Front End Accessory Drive Design and Release Engineer will work closely with designers, CAE groups, engine calibration, suppliers, and manufacturing to design components and systems to ensure designs are robust for function and manufacturing.
    • The Design/Release Engineer is responsible for the product design from concept to launch, components/system packaging, releasing 2D drawing and 3D model, performance specifications and product issue resolution.
    • This position requires interaction with engine calibrators, test labs, suppliers, quality organization, manufacturing plants, and purchasing.
    • The Engineer is responsible for all facets of assigned components including sourcing packages, design, validation, release, supplier sign-off, cost/weight/investment targets and warranty.
    • The Engineer will develop and carry out FMEA's and DVP&R's to ensure that functional objectives and durability goals are met.


    • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or Physics
    • from an ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology) accredited program
    • Minimum of 5 years of automotive engineering experience
    • Minimum of 2 years of front end accessory drive design release experience
    • Strong interest in automotive industry
    • Strong written and oral communication skills
    • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work in a team environment
    • Computer proficient (including spreadsheet, word processing, presentation and database applications)


    Preferred Qualifications


    • MBA or Master of Science in Applied Physics,
    • Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace or Computer Engineering, or related Engineering field from an
    • ABET accredited university
    • Experience using Simdrive software
    • Additional experience in front end accessory drives
    • Experience with tensioners, belts, pulleys, bearings, castings, fasteners
    • Experience with advanced quality tools such as DFMEA, DVPR, function models
    • NX CAD skills
    • Passion, interest and hands on working knowledge of cars




    • Will be required to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%
    • Will be required to drive a company car.
    • Valid driver’s license is required as well as a clean driving
    • record.
