  • Responsibilities

    • Responsible for the development and validation of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) models for full vehicle.
    • Work involves strong oral and written communication skills, as well as planning skills.
    • Exercise intermediate level of independent judgment with general direction given by supervisor.
    • Major Job Duties and Responsibilities
    • Develop Finite Element Analysis (FEA) models for a full vehicle 
    • Interface with engineers to validate Finite Element Analysis (FEA) models 
    • Assist with part generation list based on engineering departmental needs 
    • Assist with the development and documentation of model content based on Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) customer needs and team needs 
    • Knowledge of HYPERMESH, ANSA, DYNA, Optistruct, Siemens NX, Teamcenter – Intermediate level 
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office – Intermediate level 
    • Knowledge of Outlook email communication tool – Intermediate level 
    • Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software – Intermediate level


    • Ability to be a team player and communicate cross culturally and cross functionally – 1-2 years experience
    • Strong oral and written communication skills necessary for interaction with the team as well as the customer 
    • Ability to follow weekly project plans assigned and managed by the management team – 1-2 years experience 
    • Ability to judge/estimate project time-lines for customer knowledge – 1-2 years experience 
    • Ability to use basic root cause analysis related to modeling projects – 1-2 years experience 
    • Strong problem solving and analysis skills to assess inconsistencies with modeling projects – 1-2 years experience 
    • Position related experience in Analysis, Validation, Testing or Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) – 1-2 years experience 
    • Position specific experience in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) Modeling – 1-2 years experience 
    • Areas of expertise include: body, chassis and power-train 
    • Associates Degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience 
    • Training in NASTRAN, DYNA, and HYPERMESH, ANSA – 1-2 years experience
