  • Responsibilities

    Seeking a Product Engineer responsible to support the business growth in automated transmissions. The product engineer works cross-functionally with our global product development, quality and industrialization team to execute the launch of new products and ensure the highest standard of performance and quality. The product engineer is also continually engaged with the customer providing technical support for issue resolution, change requests, and warranty.

     

     Essential Functions and Responsibilities

    • Provide root cause analysis and resolution reporting of transmission incidents
    • Verify product functional performance for pre-production and production assemblies
    • Diagnose and support resolution of FTQ issues for production end of line test
    • Support engineering change management process
    • Support DFMEA and PPAP activities for components and transmission assembly
    • Support analysis and performance testing of warranty returns

     

    Qualifications

    Education and Qualifications

    • Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or Electromechanical Engineering preferred
    • Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electromechanical Engineering required
    • Knowledge of mechatronic and hydraulic subsystems

     

     Skills and Competencies

    • Excellent problem solving skills, and critical mindset
    • Customer focused, listening to the voice of the customer
    • Ability to communicate effectively with customer and employees at all levels
    • Highly collaborative, working effectively as part of a team and also able to work independently
    • MS Office, NI LabVIEW, and Vector CAN tools

     

    • Travel Requirements
      • Willing to work/train in Belgium periodically within first 3-6 months of employment.
      • Estimated 10-15% travel and ability to work occasional non-traditional business hours to support project as required
