  • Responsibilities

    • This position will be responsible for the design, development, timing and production release of a system and/or component.
    • Responsible for the following system and/or components: fuel systems, cooling systems, air induction systems and exhaust systems.
    • Other responsibilities will include the responsibility for quality improvements, cost reduction, weight reduction and other efficiency improvement initiatives including communicating technical product status to management.


    • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering degree is required from an ABET accredited university. BSME is preferred. Automotive product development experience is preferred. Candidates need
    • demonstrated communication skills, problem solving skills and project management.
    • Candidates with 3+ years of automotive product development experience preferred. Experience in Air Induction System design and/or background with Noise, Vibration, Harshness (NVH) is a plus. Relevant automotive design development experience through co-ops, internships, Formula SAE, etc. will be considered.
    • Self-starter with strong leadership, communication & organizational skills and demonstrated problem solving ability. Ability to manage complex projects with
    • attention to detail.


    Preferred Qualifications


    • Experience with Design Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (DFMEA) preferred. Experience with Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R) preferred.
    • Greenbelt certification in Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) or Shainin (Reactive) preferred.
    • Solid understanding of system/component design required. General understanding of NX TeamCenter preferred. Ability to read drawings and understand and
    • apply GD&T preferred.




    • Will be required to drive a company car (i.e. testing purposes, etc.). A valid driver’s license is required as well as a clean driving record.
    • Will be required to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%. (Must be able to cross the boarder into Canada. Must be able to travel to Mexico, if program requires).
