The Associate Technician II should be able to carry out specifically outlined job assignments with some supervision.
The candidate should be able to describe work accomplishments or concerns through effective verbal and written communications.
The candidate should be able to interact smoothly with other workers at several levels.
Skill level should be documented as part of the employee's performance review.
The candidate typically possesses skills in one or maybe two of the following functions:
Test Technician responsible for the design, build, setup, and execution of laboratory tests for the purpose of developing and validating vehicle body and chassis systems
Knowledge of vehicle body and chassis sub-systems
Ability to change vehicle components, modify parts, and install with proper torque specifications
Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems and concepts
Strong written and oral communication skills
Interpersonal skills to work effectively with others
Basic fabrication and machine shop skills
Fundamental welding skills
Multitask, keeping several projects moving forward at the same time
Ability to read engineering drawings
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Project Preferred:
Automotive laboratory testing experience
Troubleshoot and calibrate test equipment for laboratory operations
Collect data using digital data acquisition systems and assist engineering personnel with processing, editing, and engineering analysis
High level of problem solving and analytical skills
