  • Responsibilities

    Manage all engineering aspects of the transmission controls including coordination with Center of Expertise engineers

    • SW development (application level to base software level)
      • Utilize agile development methodology
      • Review backlogs to ensure deliverables will be met and to escalate any issues/concerns as they arise
      • Ensure implementation of Vehicle Functions
      • Lead development of Component Functional Test Specifications
    • Testing performed at each level of SW
      • MIL/HIL/virtual environment testing and verification
      • Support root cause analysis of issues as they arise and track issues to completion
    • SW build support
    • HW Integration and requirements review (Sensors, Clutches, DFMEA, SSTS support, etc.
    • Review/Support driver level requirements and testing status
    • Review/Support System level interactions with other controllers (ECU, HCP, ABS, DTCM, etc)
      • Ensure transmission supports all vehicle objectives, functional objectives, transmission objectives are met
    • Lead/Support reviews with external teams (calibration, HW, etc) to support development of transmission controls and documentation for both engineering level and director level discussions



    • Masters of Science in Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science or related
    • Minimum of 10 years related Software and Controls experience with expert knowledge in related equipment, technology and systems and be able to assist when needed (Matlab/Simulink, ETAS, INCA, CDA, etc.)
    • Must be able to document and execute necessary corrective actions in order to better manage the development process with internal and external teams
    • Must have experience with developing Risk Assessment and Risk Mitigation Plans

    Driving and Travel Requirements:

    • Will be required to drive a company car. A valid drivers license is required as well as a clean driving record.
    • Will be required to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%
