  • Responsibilities

     

     

    • Fully participate in Agile development process
    • Gather and document business requirements , as well as, develop user stories and test cases
    • Work with and provide interfacing requirements to software vendor
    • Provide Solution Delivery Methodology artifacts associated with application components
    • Review and research requirements artifacts and collaborate with the SMEs to develop test scenarios and test cases.
    • Execute functional and integration test plans ensuring application components meet technical specifications
    • Develop implementation plans.
    • Support production issues if escalated to delivery team.
    • Ensure applications are supported properly through enhancements, upgrades and fixes
    • Develop Technical Requirements
    • Code and unit test application components in Java using our client's Java Frameworks, working alone or paired with another team member
    • Document application defects and enable defect management, including working with other developers on the resolution of testing related defects.

     

     

    Qualifications

     

    • Motivated to interface with business team and server teams to understand business
    • 5+ years experience translating business requirements into formal requirements and working with business team to complete requirements acceptance.
    • 5+ years experience in developing and executing unit test and integration plans/scripts to validate that application changes meet technical specifications. SDA and developer skills
    • 4+ years. experience JEE-based development, with HTML/JavaScript/XML
    • 4+ years. experience with WebSphere, Java-based IDE (RSA, Eclipse), using popular industry frameworks (Struts, JUnit, EclipseLink)
    • 4+ years. experience with relational database, preference for SQL Server, DB2
    • Agile team experience preferred
    • Experience with object oriented analysis and design
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
    • Strong oral and written communication skills
    • Development experience as part of a globally distributed team a plus Testing Skills
    • 5 + years of experience with quality assurance testing including Java/J2EE based web application testing and Database testing skills in DB2 and SQL Server
    • Excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving and planning skills.
    • Strong desire to learn new business processes and function as part of an Agile team
    • Willingness to play more than one role within a software development team.
    • Proven ability to build and maintain strong positive relationships with business and application partners and team members.
    • Highly motivated professional (self-starter and results oriented).

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Blueprint Experience is a plus.
    • Experience with Optessa Software Looking for well rounded skill set. Resumes with only full stack java development experience will not be considered.

    Education 

    • BS Computer Science or Equivalent
