  • Responsibilities

    The Technique Coach has experience coaching at the team level (Development) . They ensure the team understands the values of software craftsmanship and why it is important.  They are empathetic to the teams needs.  They are focused on measurable outcomes and progress. Candidate should be obsessed with quality and pushes back on moving forward with subpar quality and will put themselves on the line to help. The Technique Coach should be able to:

    • Set team up for success
    • Seeks transparency between business and development team
    • Build up team members
    • Motivate team to practice proper techniques
    • Get a team ready to no longer need a coach





    Experience Required:

    • 3+ years experience coaching
    • 5+ years development experience with TDD and Pair Programming experience


    Skills Required:

    • Strong development ability (Java and JavaScript are preferred, but will accept other mainstream development tools)
    • Disciplined in Agile Technical practices: TDD, Refactoring, Simple Design, Pair Programming, Clean Code
    • Guided by S.O.L.I.D. principles
    • Full-stack Development - Flexible on front end experience
    • Has experience in both legacy and greenfield development
