  • Responsibilities

    • We are seeking an experienced Powertrain Project Manager.
    • They will be responsible for the management of both new model and adaptation engine programs for a new engine platform. The functional responsibilities include program planning, build management, financial management, problem resolution, risk management, contract development, (Statements of Work, Cross Supply Agreements, etc.), coordination of study requests, and overall project leadership.
    • Project Manager with a minimum of 4 years of experience managing the design and release of components or systems.
    • The Project Manager will manage the activities related to the development of core engines.
    • The candidate must be a strong leader, energetic, team oriented, and willing to work in fast paced environment.
    • Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
      • Managing the development activities including; managing supplier reviews (executive, business, and risk), prototype ordering and inventory, supplier change control processes, and timing plans Strategic Planning including; maintaining master timing schedule and component application plan Budget prototype order, spend for approved changes, and capital equipment for Core HW and Sensor team Coordinate the internal change management activities for entire Powertrain Controls organization

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or technical field from an ABET accredited university 4 years of powertrain or engine experience
    • 4 years of business and technical project leadership experience
    • Experience managing the development and release of automotive components or systems Experience leading a project through all life cycle phases (concept to production)
    • Ability to lead cross functional teams
    • Ability to set stretch goals, create/sustain energy and drive results
    • Drives change where necessary to bring projects to fruition
    • Ability to build strong business cases and communicate effectively to senior management
    • Ability to create a strategic vision for product portfolio and execute strategic change
    • Demonstrate strong business acumen and results orientation
    • Exhibit strong intellect, sound judgment and strategic thinking
    • Supports and promotes team above self interest
    • Process oriented and strong computer skills (including PowerPoint, Excel, and MS Project) Experience managing project budgets and creating business cases
    • Experience leading change management activities for a program
    • Experience with leading technical cost reduction initiatives and driving the team for successful execution

     

    Preferred Qualifications

     

    • Master of Science or Masters of Business Administration from an ABET accredited university
    • PMP Certified
    • Knowledge of internal combustion engines, transmission, and/or drive-lines
    • Strong cross-functional knowledge (engineering, manufacturing, supplier quality, purchasing, etc.) Technical cost savings project leadership applied regionally or globally
    • Experience with diverse global cultures and languages a plus.

     

    Travel

    • Will be required to drive a company car. Valid driver’s license is required as well as a clean driving record.
