  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    • Primary responsibility is to design electronics systems (hardware / software)) and assure total support and management of the program within the functional area.
    • Ensure that the product design complies with all product requirements and Final Customer specifications.
    • Develop the DFMEA and other engineering disciplines if specified by the customer, in relation and specific to the systems being developed.
    • Attend, support and participate in Design and Engineering Reviews.
    • Coordinate and follow engineering responsibilities from design concept, through prototype build, pilot, production, and life of the program.
    • Leads Cross Functional Program team in execution of the client's guidelines for Product Development.
    • Keep and maintain an Engineering Open Issues List.
    • Interfaces with customer to ensure all engineering needs and requirements of customers are being met.
    • Coordination of engineering changes through customers and internal system.
    • Support the Team in the development of new business opportunities from the point of view of the electronics.

    Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience with Electronics design background is required. Minimum of 6 years of experience is desired.
    • Experience with embedded electronics systems is required.
    • Experience with hardware design and simulations tools: Altium, OrCAD, PSpice.
    • Experience with software design for embedded systems.
    • Experience with electronics for lighting modules and other components in an automotive implementation environment is desirable.
    • Experience with automotive communication networks, LIN, CAN is beneficial.
    • Problem solving skills are required
    • Professional written and verbal communication skills are required.
    • Must have ability to effectively conduct group presentations.
    • Dedication to continuous learning is critical for this position.
    • Must demonstrate strong MS application skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Word, etc.)
    • Ability to speak/read/write in a second language (ideally Spanish) is beneficial.
