TITLE: Account Manager

REPORTS TO: Executive Management, Director, Sr. Account Manager or Branch Manager

SUPERVISES: May Supervise Account Representatives


Develops additional business whenever possible from existing Clients. Generating appointments and manage existing accounts, meeting and exceeding quotas for net gross margin revenues and number of new placements, developing, implementing and maintaining a territory management plan, ensuring excellent coverage and penetration of market.


  1. Maintain and develop major accounts and others. Make on-going Client visits to address concerns, problems and questions. Actively listen to understand client and employee needs to keep them satisfied with G-TECH’s services. Bring treats, company pens, mugs, etc.
  2. Responsible for new business development through heads up orders on existing accounts.
  3. Maintain and grow purchase order activity.
  4. Provide complete and accurate Position Description Forms to Recruiters.
  5. Communicate with Recruiters the level of priority for job orders.
  6. Entertain Clients.
  7. Work closely with Recruiters to ensure fast feedback on submitted resumes.
  8. Escort Candidates to Client interviews.
  9. Create account history by documenting interactions with Clients and Contract Employees.
  10. Keep available at all times an Employee Listing report sorted by location.
  11. Negotiate for upgrades and higher billing rates.
  12. Ensure Accounting Department has necessary paperwork (i.e., P.O., Proposal) prior to new Employee start date and interface with Accounting on an on-going basis to ensure additional funding as needed.
  13. Ensure Client database is accurate and up to date.
  14. Roles and responsibilities vary by account needs.
  15. Responsible for meeting client revenue and profitability targets.
  16. Ensure G-TECH database is accurate and up to date.



Education: Bachelor degree or equivalent experience.

Experience: 2-3 years’ experience in contract labor business with emphasis in employee relations, administration and employment process. Some chemical (oil & gas downstream), automotive or IT experience preferred.

Skills: Strong negotiating skills, effective interpersonal skills, problem resolution skills and knowledge of labor laws. Computer skills are required.

Ability to drive to Client sites.

Working Conditions: Ability to travel the necessary amount of time in order to fulfill the duties of the position.
