  • Lead the design and release of complete assemblies working within an integrated project team.
  • Lead and oversee structural, dynamic, and kinematic analysis, as appropriate, in support of project specific requirements.
  • Plan, estimate, schedule, & conduct the technical aspects of engineering projects.
  • Provide timely, clear, and concise communication to management, customers, partners, and team members about work status and impacts to project.
  • Provide engineering recommendations, with proposed actions and suggested priorities, for the resolution of operational and mechanical problems.
  • Prepare engineering test scopes, plans, and reports (e.g. Acceptance Testing and Performance Testing)
  • Perform tests and writing test reports.
  • Provide timely creation/review of engineering design, change, and release documents.
  • Maintain the technical aspects of engineering projects within allocated budget and schedule limits.
  • Provide peer review of work performed by others;
  • Mentor less experienced engineers and designers
  • Develop and manage scopes, budgets and schedules for departmental and multi-discipline projects



Required Engineering Experience & Skills

  • 7+ years of experience in design of heavy mechanical equipment for automation, and/or material handling (large conveyance systems, automotive, agricultural, or large robotic systems)
  • 3+ years of professional experience with static and dynamic analysis to optimize fabricated structures
  • 3+ years of professional utilizing CAD software
  • 3+ years of professional experience completing multiple, concurrent, engineering tasks & projects
  • 3+ years of professional experience in, field troubleshooting including solution development & implementation in the industrial controls, automation, automotive, mechanical systems or transportation industries
  • 2+ years of professional experience leading technical groups and multidiscipline teams while managing expectations of diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the following areas:
  1. Complex mechanical systems (hydraulics, pneumatics and electric motors/actuators)
  2. Welded joints and associated residual stress, distortion & related metallurgical processes
  3. Bolted joints and the associated threaded fasteners
  4. Design for welding and composite structures
  • Demonstrated Ability to Lead, Partner and Coach
  • Awareness of basic control systems to understand of the interface with the customer’s ride control system
  • Strong communication, presentation, organizational and MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Project & PP) skills


Engineering Education Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • Professional Engineer License


Engineering Experience & Skills

Experience utilizing SolidWorks


Engineering Education Preferred

  • Master’s degree in Engineering
