    Transitioning its 9-Speed Transmission Controls into Physics Model Based Development (tPMBD). This is an excellent opportunity for sharing successful software experience towards development of Controls and Software for next generation of Transmissions. We are looking for an engineer with strong technical and software release experience to join us on this exciting adventure.


    The TMS Software Release Engineer will lead a cross functional team dedicated to the development and release of tPMBD Controls and Software. He/she will also be responsible for releasing all deliverables per the program milestones essential for our vehicle teams. Interactions in this position cuts across many technical organizations within the Company.


    The TMS Software Release Engineer is also expected to model positive leadership behaviors and mentor teammates to help the organization grow in capability and throughput. This person will be responsible for all aspects of the software content, release planning and releasing software in Powercal.

    The TMS Software Release Engineer candidate must:

    • Have strong System Engineering skills to lead the project releases
    • Be skillful in cross functional team problem solving and have strong knowledge of all the functional areas that are supporting the team in development of transmission management systems.
    • Being able to root-cause project level situations, make technical recommendations for the good of the program and meet program objectives.
    • Exhibit strong team presence by engaging in the project and developing alternatives when road blocks occur to ensure project objectives are achieved.
    • Exhibit strong communication skills
    • Organizational skills: He or she must be a team player, supporting and promoting team accomplishments versus personal achievement, with a proven ability to drive change and bring projects to fruition through influence and collaboration across the organization in a highly fluid environment.



    • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, as accredited by ABET or ABET
    • 7-10 years' experience in electro-mechanical systems and/or software/hardware development
    • Life-cycle experience in Electronics, Controls, Software or Electro-Mechanical Systems
    • Detailed and Process-oriented and capable of managing change


    • Master of Science degree in Engineering, as accredited by ABET or ABET
    • Bachelors in Electrical, Electronics, Electro-Mechanical, Mechanical (Controls)
    • Understanding of Powertrain controls, software/hardware development

    Additional Information:

    • Prefer 5 years’ experience.
    • BSEE/ Computer Degree
    • May be required to drive a company car. Valid driver’s license is required as well as a clean driving record.
    • May be required to travel domestically (0-20%)
