  • Analyze PCM I/O required for all programs contained in MSP (Powertrain Control Module Specification Package) & determine any gaps in currently HIL capability.
  • Determine if an existing load tray design can be used or a new design is required to handle the complexity contained in the new MSP.
  • Design a scale drawing in Microsoft Visio of all hardware components required to simulate the actuators required for all programs within a MSP (i.e. max complexity).
  • Create a bill of material (BOM) list of all required components and lead the build of the HIL load tray working with internal and external resources
  • Design wiring harness that mates to the load tray
  • Document load tray and wiring harness details in Microsoft Excel
  • Update Arduino control code as required
  • Work closely with other engineers in the module hardware design team and software validation team through design, implementation, and troubleshooting phases
