Responsibilities

  • The position is responsible to support the model integration manager (MIM) with various tasks including assembly plant build support, issue management and reporting, powertrain engineering issue management and driving issues to closure.
  • This position requires the program manager to become the face of powertrain to the vehicle team, and report as such to the vehicle team leadership including the model responsible (MR) and vehicle line quality (VLQ) responsible for the vehicle.

 

Travel and Driving Notes:

  • Will be required to drive a company car.
  • A valid driver's license is required, as well as, a clean driving record.
  • Will be required to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% (Mexico, Canada)

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in engineering (ME or EE)
  • 0-5 years of project/program management experience within automotive, powertrain (or demonstrated project management ).
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects.
  • Takes projects from original concept through final implementation.
  • Demonstrate strength in assembling a project team, assigning individual responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources needed, and developing schedules to ensure timely completing of project and meeting deadlines of a project.
  • Demonstrate the ability to build credibility, establish rapport, and maintain communication with customers at multiple levels, including those external to the organization.
