Engineering Job Description & Responsibilities

  • Support engineering, design, development, timing and production release of lighting (exterior) components.
  • Manage packaging requirements, lighting performance, lighting system behavior/validation.
  • Champion quality improvements, design, regulatory compliance specifications, weight reduction, cost reduction, and efficiency improvement initiatives
  • Communicate technical product status to management.


Required Engineering Experience & Skills

  • 1 year or more of professional experience (internships & co-ops will count) in Design/release engineering for automotive lighting, optics, or exterior lighting programs
  • Demonstrated knowledge of headlamp, tail lamp, small lamp technologies, design practices & regulatory compliance specifications
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Strong Communication, presentation, & interpersonal skills


Engineering Education Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.


Preferred Engineering Experience & Skills

  • Experience with Shainin and/or DFSS blackbelt, developing performance standards& source packages
  • Electrical Engineering background
  • Knowledge of NX/TeamCenter, development testing and validation processes
