Responsibilities

The Agile Coach will be working with multiple business and technology teams across the organization to deliver customer value through the implementation of Agile principles, processes and methods.

This position requires an experienced Agile Coach with a strong understanding of and hands-on experience with Agile methods (primarily Scrum).

  • Coach product teams in applying Agile values, principles, practices, tools and techniques
  • Provide actionable feedback to teams for improving and developing their skills in Agile practices and team dynamics
  • Drive teams to higher levels of proficiency and maturity with adopting Agile methods
  • Mentor Agile Team Facilitators and Product Owners
  • Guide teams with hands-on assistance in facilitating all key Agile events including daily standups, iteration and release planning sessions, backlog refinement as well as product demos and team retrospectives
  • Facilitate various workshops and Agile team events including: product discovery, story writing and backlog management, release planning and roadmapping
  • Support the execution of the Corporate Agile Transformation
  • - Build and grow internal, enterprise-wide agility and sustainable high-performing teams
  • As an agile coach you will facilitate learning through workshops, meetings, and team-building activities and various agile events
  • Apply lean/Agile values and principles with product delivery teams

Qualifications

 

Skills Required:

  • Proven ability to lead workshops and training sessions
  • Strong facilitation, collaboration, coaching and mentoring skills
  • Highly developed communication skills to collaborate, build relationships, influence, negotiate and persuade others at all levels both inside and outside of IT
  • Proficient in using CA Agile Central (Rally) for backlog management, progress tracking and reporting
  • Must have a passion for helping others and making a difference

 

Skills Preferred:

  • Understanding of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)

 

Experience Required:

  • 2+ yrs. of experience in an Agile practitioner/coach role using Scrum framework
  • 5+ yrs. of experience in IT project/program management
  • Previous experience working on/with Agile teams

 

Experience Preferred:

  • Previous software development experience
  • General understanding of automotive financing applications

 

Education Required:

  • Bachelor degree in IT or related discipline

 

Education Preferred:

  • Agile-relevant certification s (PMI-ACP, CSM)
  • Knowledge or experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
