Engineering Job Description & Responsibilities

  • Partner with multi-disciplinary Centers of Excellence to integrate, build, test & release production Powertrain embedded software.
  • Identify and report issues to Team Leads.
  • Support CPU bandwidth testing and ECU memory usage reporting
  • Utilize Configuration Management tools, Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) test equipment, and an internal Calibration database tool
  • Develop, update & maintain process and procedure documents.


Required Engineering Experience & Skills

  • 2+ years of experience with embedded C/C++ software (hand-coding),
  • 1 year or more of experience with Adherence to a defined software development process
  • Familiarity with microprocessor-based controls and development tools (emulators, debuggers, etc.)


Engineering Education Required

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Computer Engineering,
  • OR Applied Physics/Mathematics,


Preferred Engineering Experience & Skills

  • Experience with:
    • Powertrain Software, TargetLink, Matlab/Simulink/Stateflow,
    • scripting languages, (Python), Motorola/Freescale 32-bit processors, Hard Real-time embedded applications, adapting application software into vendor/OEM Software, AutoSAR
    • and/or dSpace's System Desk
  • Familiarity with OBD II



Engineering Education Preferred

  • Graduate degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or Computer Engineering
