  • The department is responsible for supporting vehicle FE labels, performance testing, regulatory coastdown and CAFE/GHG reporting. We work closely with our FE simulation and synthesis powertrain partners to set vehicle level FE/performance targets, assess FE status of current and future programs and evaluate packages for FE carryover compliance.
  • Competitive vehicle benchmarking is routinely performed. These activities are supported by vehicle level testing on the straightaway, oval and emissions chassis dynamometer.
  • Individual travel is limited, but not mandatory.


  • Working knowledge with hardware data acquisition systems.
  • Good organizational skills, emissions regulatory experience, fuel economy testing.
  • Trouble shooting, problem resolution and debugging skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Team Player.
  • Strong computer skills.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with a variety of groups and personalities.
  • Ability to lead group and team projects. engine/trans calibration background.
  • Product plan and 8 (plus) month goal setting with milestones is important.
  • Strong familiarity with software and programming experience is a PLUS.
  • ETAS Hardware w/ INCA software + ODX-LINK add-on (for competitive benchmarking) BU supervision.
  • 5+ years of vehicle powertrain testing/experience.
