Engineering Job Description & Responsibilities

  • Document, track and communicate build issues to ensure timely resolutions.
  • Attend all start-up meetings with engineers
  • Review the Scope of Work and review the Bill of Material
  • Receive vehicle keys, review hoist availability with the broker and initiate part dispersals from the Engineering Stockrooms.
  • Received Process sheets from Prototype Build Engineering (Electrical, Interior/Exterior, Chassis, Powertrain, etc.)
  • Compile process sheets to create a Build Book for technicians to reference during the builds.
  • Hold Build Issue meetings with technicians to ensure effective communication and document additional updates/issues
  • Communicate build status to management on a regular basis
  • Escalate major build issue
  • Champion On time delivery


Required Engineering Experience & Skills

  • 1 year or more of experience in the automotive industry
  • 1 year or more pf experience with Vehicle systems, service, or build
  • Strong communication, organization, interpersonal and MS office skills


Engineering Education Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree


Preferred Engineering Experience & Skills

  • Experience with vehicle electrical systems and/or diagnostics
  • Parts Management experience


Engineering Education Preferred

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering
