Responsibilities

  • The Radio Release Engineer will be responsible for working with suppliers and other engineering areas to design, develop, and release the international variants of the mid-level touchscreen radio. This will include writing source packages, specifications, requirements, change notices and overall supplier management to meet program timing and deliverables.
  • Follow, track and root cause build issues found during pre-production builds and vehicle issues found during development.
  • Responsible for issue resolution prior to launch of the program.

 

Travel and Driving Requirements: May be required to drive a company car.  Valid driver’s license is required as well as a clean driving record.

Qualifications

  • Fleet Telematics Module Release Engineer
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering (or equivalent) from an ABET accredited university.
  • Experience with Design Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (DFMEA)
  • Experience with Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R).
  • Self-motivated with excellent program management, communication skills.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint

 

Preferred Qualifications (in addition to the basic qualifications above):

  • Experience in telematics/cellular hardware/software implementation.
  • Masters degree in Engineering or Business Administration.
  • Knowledge of vehicle serial data communications (CAN).
  • Minimum 1 year of automotive system or component experience.
  • Experience in Dynamic Object Oriented Requirements (DOORs) preferred.
