Responsibilities

  • Translate (Japanese/English) and proofread vehicle specification books related to client
  • Translate and proofread manual books related to client.
  • Translate and proofread test procedure materials.
  • Translate and proofread presentation materials.
  • Translate and proofread Technical Report.
  • Work with the Translation Group to develop or improve translation job system
  • Support various meetings with interpretation
  • Support updating Powertrain terminology

Qualifications

  • Excellent language and communication skills of both Japanese and English.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills in order to create a good work relationship in team-work environment.
  • 3 - 5 years’ experience in translation
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, and Power Point.
  • Ability to operate translation software, TRADOS
  • Ability to follow instructions written or otherwise.
  • Ability to plan and prioritize to meet deadlines.
  • Proven ability and exceptional professionalism and judgment in interfacing effectively with associates and contingents at all levels.

 

EDUCATION

  • 2 or 4 year college degree, Japanese language should be at least high school level
  • 20-minute Translation Quiz
