  • Responsible for implementing material handling & flow activity for new programs into the plant.
  • Lead incorporation and integration of new strategies into the plant.
  • Develop plans for proper material flow from receiving dock, to market place, to the production line locations, and the delivery of finished product to customers
  • Responsible to review utilization and flow simulations and deliver corrective actions as required
  • Analyze incoming, in process and finished inventory levels; engage in mapping and corrective actions to improve flow.
  • Apply engineering principles and analytical techniques to establish and continuously improve material handling and flow.
  • Develop action plans as required to investigate and prioritize safety, quality and flow concerns and verify corrective actions.
  • Create process and instruction sheets supporting material handling job duties.
  • Ensure compliance to Plant, Corporate, Governmental and Environmental standards
  • Create a conducive work environment with PTME, Plant Launch, Product, and Production process engineers and coaches for the team(s) to complete the assigned responsibilities / tasks
  • Support client Production System and synchronous material flow through lean manufacturing practices

  • Successful candidate must be able to demonstrate leadership behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, team building, and communication skills
  • 3+ yrs of related experience
  • Education: High School Diploma


Experience Preferred:

  • Manufacturing experience desired
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles (5s, Kanban Poka-yoke and Value Stream Mapping)
  • Safety and MP&L experience preferred
  • Knowledge of constraint management principles
  • Microsoft Office knowledge (Word/Excel/Outlook)
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma principals (DMAIC, Kaizen, and DOEs)
  • Visual Factory Management


Education Preferred: 

Bachelors degree in Industrial Operations, Transportation & Logistics, Supply Chain Management & Information Systems, Applied Engineering Science, Packaging Engineering, or Business Mgmt.
