Responsibilities

  • Support localization effort by identifying North American cost and weight reduction opportunities. This includes but not limited to durability, functional testing, and issue resolution.
  • Support/Lead cost reduction activities through best practices and benchmarking efforts
  • Management support with presentation preparation
  • Work with NA suppliers to support localization and cost reduction initiatives including supplier visits as necessary

Qualifications

  • Pro-E, CREO, or CAD equivalent, Microsoft Office and Project proficiency
  • Able to prepare and interpret 2d drawing along with appropriate GD&T
  • Previous engine component design responsibility and an understanding of model life management
  • Demonstrated root cause analysis disciplines
  • Led or participated in cost reduction efforts for current and or future engine programs
  • Ability to summarize current and future work load and plans
  • 3-5 years' experience working within an OEM or Tier 1 environment

 

Required Minimum Education and Experience

  • Four-year degree from an ABET accredited university. Mechanical engineering degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in the automotive sector
