Responsibilities

Perform engineering duties in planning and designing tools, machines, and other mechanically functioning equipment. Oversee installation, operation and maintenance equipment.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To perform the job successfully, the individual must be able to execute each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties, assignments and specific projects may be assigned at the discretion of management.   • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, or computer-generated reports.
  • Assist drafters in developing the structural design of products using drafting tools or computer-assisted design (CAD) or drafting equipment and software.
  • Confer with engineers or other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, or provide technical information.
  • Recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions.
  • Develop, coordinate, or monitor all aspects of production, including selection of manufacturing methods, fabrication, or operation of product designs.
  • Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.
  • Must be able to read and understand mechanical drawings.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Able to work and solve problems independently and in a team environment.
  • Support of Mfg areas to meet production objectives.
  • Tool/ Fixture design.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
  • Good problem-solving skills and a creative approach for new ideas.
  • Leadership potential for future growth of engineering department

Qualifications

  • BSME Required
  • CAD design experience
  • Lean manufacturing knowledge
