  • Reply to RFPs within the timeline given, with accurate costs of material, labor, freight, overhead, etc.
  • Read, understand, and interpret blueprints, job specifications, scope of work, and local codes
  • Use CAD to measure, verify, and take –off project details
  • Correctly calculate amount of materials needed and installation time required for each job estimate
  • Create and use Excel spreadsheets to aid in estimating purposes
  • Interact with project managers, vendors, and clients to obtain current pricing, sourcing, lead time, etc.
  • Read and react to addenda and clarifications of the estimate
  • Demonstrate an attitude of providing excellent customer service to all external clients and internal co-workers
  • Align with DCI’s mission, vision, values, and strategic objectives continually
  • Strive towards helping the organization deliver successful projects (Safety, Timeliness, Execution, Quality, Profitability)
  • Protect the organization's value by keeping information confidential
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations
  • Maintain flexibility and strive to complete all other requests as directed by management


  • A minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Business or a similar area
  • At least 3 years work experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or estimating
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel
  • High energy level, ability to meet goals, professionalism
  • Superior administrative capacity to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously with finesse and to complete them with minimal oversight
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills to include grammar, spelling, and proofreading
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven teamwork, participation, and a heart to serve
