Responsibilities

Support Analyst responds to second level user requests and incident tickets requiring application level intervention.

  • The resource will support the current tool suite and is needed in preparation for application upgrades and addition of new functionality to these tools.
  • Second level support for the service asset and configuration mgmt tools works directly with first level support and end users to resolve trouble tickets in a timely manner.
  • Manage team ticket queue and resolve in timely manner Develop and maintain accurate technical and user documentation Troubleshoot minor and major system problems in a timely manner and escalate to L3 support when necessary.
  • Provide global, 24x7 operations support to Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM) Applications
  • Meet service level agreement (SLA) commitments
  • Help the users in solving data issues
  • Perform system administration tasks.
  • User administration
  • Performing operational tasks (e.g. run and monitor discovery jobs, generate weekly, monthly application scorecards, etc.)
  • Assisting on Production Support activities for HP UCMDB, HP Asset Manager, HP Service Manager such as assisting with incident and problem resolution, adding new users
  • Issue advisories for any outages/incidents which affect the user community.
  • Monitor application and database servers.
  • Collect and provide reporting applications health and usage metrics.
  • Work with system/database administrators and development team to resolve issues

 

THIS POSITION IS A W-2 OPPORTUNITY 

(C2C or 1099 resources will not be considered)

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with HP UCMDB, HP Service Manager and HP Asset Manager preferred
  • Experience with SQL and Oracle or SQL Server databases
  • Client/server or web application development or application support experience
  • Basic knowledge of infrastructure components (servers, routers, switches, NAS, SAN, etc.) preferred
  • Must be able to work independently, problem solve and prioritize.
  • This employee must also be able to identify operational performance concerns by observing and studying system functionality and performance results.
  • Position requires the ability to interact with all organizational levels globally and must be able to work in cross-functional teams toward a desired result not applicable

 

Experience Preferred:

  • Experience with working in a large enterprise environment and interfacing with multi cross functional teams.
  • Experience with production support.
  • ITIL Certified a plus Excellent communication skills (oral and written), needs to be able to handle users when they are not at their best.
  • Self-starter, Good organization skills, flexible schedule needed to address global team issues.

 

 Education Required:

  • BS-Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or other technical curriculum
